(Hong Kong, 23 November, 2017) Christmas is a time to gather, indulge and be merry! City Garden Hotel’s Garden Café is pulling out all the stops for the festive season with their amazing “Christmas Dessert Paradise” dinner buffets from 11 December to 1 January. Guests can enjoy a sumptuous choice of Chinese and Western favourites, barbecued dishes, fresh chilled seafood and the holiday special - Turkey with Molten Gruyère Cheese. But be sure to save room for dessert! The Café has prepared a cornucopia of festive desserts, including a delicate and lovable Chupa Chups Candy House that would even tempt Santa himself. Dinner buffet prices start from HK$518 per adult.

The ultimate guide to savour all desserts “Christmas Dessert Paradise” dinner buffet will not only bring you a delectable fare, but also great fun that will put you in the festive spirit! Here are some tips for you to fully indulge in the dinner buffet:

Tip 1: Make a reservation and pay deposit to take part in the “Build Your Own Snowman” session. Limited to one snowman per table and only 30 snowmen will be built each night on a first-booked, first-served basis.
Tip 2: Enjoy a pre-dinner fruity starter in the first 30 minutes of the buffet, to prepare your palate for the feast ahead.
Tip 3: Take a selfie at the Chupa Chups Candy House and share it on social media to make your friends jealous!
Tip 4: Savour each and every sumptuous dessert for a truly sweet celebration.
Tip 5: Don’t miss the Curaçao-infused Chocolate Lava Cake for a delicious finale to the feast!

Tip 1: “Build your own Snowman” for a memorable celebration
Guests can unleash their creativity to make their own unique snowman using different flavours of ice creams or sorbets, and decorate it with jam and colourful toppings. The Pastry Chef will serve the snowman with dry ice to make it even more eye-catching. Guests making a reservation and paying a deposit will get a chance to join this session. Only 30 snowmen will be built each night, so be sure to book your session well ahead, before it’s gone!
Tip 2: Pre-dinner Fruity Starter
Who says dessert only come after dinner? A light yet tasty dessert could be the perfect appetiser! A selection of dessert shooters including coconut and pineapple, blueberry and apple, raspberry and mango are available at the first 30 minutes of each round of dinner buffet. They could be just the thing to refresh your palate for the good food to come.
Tip 3: Christmas Candy House
The dessert counter will be transformed into a Christmas candy house that will evoke nostalgic childhood memories. Collaborating with one of Hong Kongese’s favourite candy brands, Chupa Chups, for the first time, Garden Café will fill the dessert counter with various flavours of Chupa Chups, together with giant lollipop decorations. This area will definitely become a hotspot for photo taking and selfie!
Tip 4: Festive Desserts for the Sweetest Celebration
An array of festive desserts will be available at Garden Café throughout the Christmas season! It will feature all kinds of desserts such as fluffy sponge cakes, crisp cookies, sweet candies, smooth and rich chocolate treats, puddings, golden-brown and pillowy doughnuts, rich pies and tarts, Chinese sweet soups, a variety of ice creams and more. Christmas elements are infused to satisfy your desire for desserts!
Tip 5: The Curaçao-infused Chocolate Lava Cake that You Can’t Miss
The traditional crème brûlée gives a sweet aroma, and a fine, smooth texture to delight every dessert lover. Plus, there will be a selection of creamy panna cottas including Baileys’ panna cotta for those who enjoy liquor. And not to be missed is the Curaçao-infused Chocolate Lava Cake!

In addition, diners can also indulge in other decadent treats such as the “Giant Cheese Tower” which consists of three layers of cheesecakes in different flavours: “rich original,” “fresh ‘n fruity” and “Japanese-style”; the Christmas series that features “Pistachio Christmas Tree”, “Raspberry Santa Claus”, “Chocolate Truffle Deer”, “Strawberry Christmas Hat” and the traditional “Cinnamon Apple Pie”; and the must-eat Mövenpick and Häagen-Dazs ice creams that come in special flavours such as strawberry cheesecake, green tea mochi and macadamia nut.

Christmas, of course, is not just about desserts, there are main courses too! With hot cheese, chestnuts and duck liver stuffed in the tenderest turkey, the popular “Turkey with Molten Gruyère Cheese” is back by popular demand. Other popular dishes include Australian Wagyu beef and grilled lamb rack.

House-made mulled wine will also be provided to keep you warm this winter! Best savour after main dishes or between breaks, this traditional drink features a sweet and smooth taste and a fruity yet spicy aroma that resembles the scent of Christmas.

Candy-floss Performance and Christmas Carol Singing
The popular candy-floss show will return to Garden Café during Christmas! Guests can enjoy their dinner while watching the performance and Christmas carol singing at the same time. All these will make your dinner even more fun and memorable.

The candy-floss performance is only available during dinner buffet between 15 and 17 December, from 22 to 26 December and from 29 December 2017 to 1 January 2018. The Christmas carol singing will only be available on Christmas Eve (Sunday, 24 December) at 7:15pm.
