Transportation

Hong Kong International Airport, the major business districts, and most visitor attractions can be easily reached from The Hong Kong Island Pacific Hotel, in some cases in a matter of minutes, in almost all in less than an hour.The hotel is easily accessible by all forms of Public transport, which is cheap and reliable. Taxis are inexpensive and readily available, and chauffeur driven limousines can be arranged through the concierge.  The hotel is next to the Western Harbour Tunnel which offers a direct freeway link to Kowloon.

 

To and From the Airport

The Airport Express Central Station is only five minutes by taxi from the hotel, and Hong Kong International Airport is a mere 30 minutes away by road. Alternatively, hotel guests can save the hassles and board the airport shuttle at the hotel entrance which takes only around 35 minutes traveling time.

 

To and From the Ferry Terminal

The hotel is 15 minutes walk from the Macau Ferry Terminal and a five minute taxi ride from the Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui and Wanchai.

 

To and From the Trade Fair Venues

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai is easily accessible by MTR underground railway, disembarking at Wanchai station, or within 10 minutes by taxi. AsiaWorld-Expo near the Hong Kong International Airport can be easily reached via the Airport Express. 

 

To and From the University of Hong Kong

The renowned University of Hong Kong is only 10 minutes away from the hotel and can be easily accessible by public light bus, bus or taxi. 

 

Around Town

By Taxi
Taxis in Hong Kong are plentiful and inexpensive and can be taken from the hotel to any destination in town. The red cab flagfall is HK$ 18 and another HK$ 1.50 is payable for every additional 200 metres (for meter fare below $70.5) or  another HK$ 1.00 is payable for every additional 200 metres. (for meter fare of $70.5 and above).

By Train
The MTR underground and KCR overground networks serve many destinations on Hong Kong Island, in Kowloon, and in the New Territories, and are simple and inexpensive to use. The maximum fare on the MTR is HK$ 23 and on the KCR HK$ 33.

By Bus
Buses run frequently along designated routes and are generally somewhat cheaper than rail. The 3 bus companies which operate in Hong Kong are Citybus, New World First Bus and Kowloon Motor Bus. The first 2 operate bus routes that run mainly on te Hong Kong Island whereas the last one focuses on the Kowloon side. City Bus No.5 runs between Causeway Bay and Western district, also drop by our hotel.  First Bus No. 18 runs between North Point and Kennedy Town, drops by HKCEC and our hotel.  CityBus No. 905 and 973 run from Kowloon side and drop by our hotel.  The concierge can advise on where best to board them or click here to see the detailed bus routes. By Tram
One of the local experience that every traveller shouldn't miss when coming to HK. Only available on the HK Island side, enjoy a ride on the tram at only HK$2 per trip and feel the vibrancy of the city. Private tram hiring service is also available on request.
