Michelin Star Shines on YUE of City Garden Hotel Hong Kong for the Second Consecutive Year
YUE at City Garden Hotel, has achieved the prestigious accolade of one star in Michelin Guide Hong Kong & Macau 2013, the world-renowned culinary and travel guidebook, for the second consecutive year. Since its opening in 2008, YUE receives this top accolade with five other new star recipients, with its gastronomic menu of traditional Cantonese cuisine and dim sum being highly recognised.
The Michelin star builds on the success of YUE at City Garden Hotel which won the Gold with Distinction Award under Seafood – Fish, Prawn, Crab Category at Hong Kong Tourism Board’s “2010 Best of the Best Culinary Awards” with its spectacular dish “Seared Garoupa Fillet stuffed with Fish Maw in Truffle Sauce and Layered Custard”. Its Chinese Executive Chef, Lai Ching-shing, has worked with unrelenting pursuit of perfection over his 30 years’ experience in Mainland China, Singapore and Taiwan. While the novel and delicious dim sum platter, “Gold Coast Starlight” by Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel’s YUE has struck gold at the “2011 Best of the Best Culinary Awards – Dim Sum Category”.
