Transportation

Hong Kong International Airport, the major business districts, and most visitor attractions can be easily reached from The City Garden Hotel in some cases in a matter of minutes, in almost all in less than an hour.

In Hong Kong, public transport is cheap and reliable, taxis are inexpensive and readily available. With 5 minutes walk, you can take the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and get access to most area in Hong Kong. Chauffeur driven limousines can also be arranged through the concierge.

 

To and From the Airport

The Hong Kong International Airport is about half an hour's ride by the MTR's Airport Express from Central Station, which is also easily accessible by taxi or MTR from the hotel. Alternatively, guests can save the hussle by taking the airport shuttle bus which runs between the hotel and the Hong Kong International Airport at frequent intervals at HK$140 per person per trip. Guests are welcome to contact our airport representative at B11 counter in the arrival hall upon your arrival.

Besides, guests can also take the Airport Express Railway which runs every 10 minutes from 5:50am to 1:15am daily. Depart from Airport Station to Hong Kong Station, then interchange at Central Station and take the Island Line to Fortress Hill Station. Take the exit B and walks for around 5 minutes to the hotel. Approximate travelling time is about 45 minutes.

For guests taking the Airport Bus Route A11, it costs HK$40 per single trip to run from the Airport to the hotel. This route operates from 6:10am to 12:30am daily. Approximate travelling time is about 70 minutes.

To and From Trade Fair Venues

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai is easily accessible by Mass Transit Railway, disembarking at Wanchai MTR station.

The Mass Transit Railway also connects directly to the Airport Express, which in turn connects directly to AsiaWorld-Expo near Hong Kong International Airport.

 

Around Town

By Taxi
Taxis in Hong Kong are plentiful and can be taken from the hotel to any destination in town. The red cab flagfall is HK$20 plus HK$1.50 every 200 metres.

By Train
The MTR's networks serve many destinations on Hong Kong Island, in Kowloon, and in the New Territories, and are fast, simple and inexpensive to use. The maximum fare on the East Rail is HK$34.5 and on the other rail lines HK$24.5.

By Bus
Buses run frequently along designated routes and are generally somewhat cheaper than rail. The 3 bus companies which operate in Hong Kong are Citybus, New World First Bus and Kowloon Motor Bus. The first 2 operate bus routes that run mainly on te Hong Kong Island whereas the last one focuses on the Kowloon side. The Concierge can advise on where best to board them.
